Established in 2020, the Global Cities Hub has evolved into a dynamic organization that connects local and regional governments to international actors in Geneva and beyond, and which works to elevate the urban agenda within the Geneva ecosystem.
UNEA-6 focuses on how multilateralism can help tackle the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste. The Assembly is an important opportunity for all levels of governments, including LRGs, and civil society to shape the global environmental policy.
Over the years, UNEA has gained importance as a global UN Assembly addressing important environmental issues, including plastic pollution on which the GCH has engaged lately.
