On 20 March 2025, the Global Cities Hub and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reaffirming their cooperation.

GCH President, Sami Kanaan, and UNECE Executive Secretary, Tatiana Molcean, discussed the achievements and further development of the UN Forum of Mayors. The GCH and UNECE have been working together on the FoM since its inception.
