Call for Interest: From Smart Cities to the Citiverse

🤖 We started with digital policy and urban infrastructure. Today, the conversation has moved to agentic AI and the Citiverse. The 3rd UN Virtual Worlds Day brings together governments, cities, UN entities, industry, and experts to explore how virtual worlds, spatial intelligence, and the Citiverse enabled by AI can support trusted digital transformation. We’ll discuss how cities can use AI-enabled immersive environments to plan neighbourhoods, manage energy systems, and prepare people for new forms of work.

We are calling all proactive, alert and agile cities and regions: if you are looking to exchange insights, compare approaches, and get strategic advice join the UN Virtual Worlds Day on 11 May 2026 as a speaker and follow, if you wish, the Citiverse Assembly on 12 May 2026. 🎙️

Share with us your city’s innovative project on the application of AI, digital twins, and spatial technologies to build resilience across critical sectors, particularly in response to pressing global challenges such as the housing crisis, energy transition, and sustainable development.

If selected, you will be invited to present your city’s activities on AI-enabled Citiverse, discuss your challenges and advise the international community on how global regulation can support efforts to address housing shortages and affordability, optimise digital municipal services, etc.

We invite:

• Elected executive leaders (mayors, governors, regional presidents)
• Chief Digital, Data, or AI Infrastructure Officers

Together, we will shape future policy and engage directly with global leaders and experts from the United Nations and affiliated organizations.

🎯 What we offer

• Travel support to/from Geneva and VIP advisory access for selected speakers (limited resources: first come first served – arrival on 10 May 2026 and departure on 12 May 2026)
• High-level, closed-door discussion with peers shaping the next phase of digital governance
