Kamelia Kemileva, GCH co-director, spoke at the GENeva UNEA Briefing ahead of UNEA-7. The GCH highlighted three key points: LRGs at the heart of environmental governance; the 4th Summit of Cities and Regions and the #BeatTheHeat official UNEA-7 side event.
UNEA-6 focuses on how multilateralism can help tackle the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste. The Assembly is an important opportunity for all levels of governments, including LRGs, and civil society to shape the global environmental policy.
