The use of ICT and connectivity have great potential to accelerate urban development policies, to bridge the digital divide and to develop knowledge societies. Scientific and technological innovation is a key enabler across areas as diverse as medicine, green energy, digital public services, etc.

Mayors will present technologies and innovations introduced in their cities to advance smart urban development ensuring that the services are accessible to all – including in relation to health, education, environment, employment, sustainable production and consumption and public administration.
