Global Cities Hub will attend the 2023 Annual Summit of the Global Parliament of Mayors

On 17-19 November, the Global Parliament of Mayors (GPM) will organize its annual summit. The Global Cities Hub is invited to attend it in Skopje.
The event will focus on 4 topics:
- Delivering democracy
- Caring cities
- The power of culture and art
- Empowering cities
Cities are at the heart of all the global challenges we are facing, such as health, climate change, plastic pollution, migration or peace. City networks have the possibility to help them make themselves heard on the international stage to voice their issues and their ideas. GCH and GPM launched a Mayors’ Declaration for better pandemic prevention, preparedness and response that calls upon States to ensure that the international health instruments negotiated by them at the WHO are guided by the whole-of-government approach.
GCH will continue to work with GPM to connect Mayors to the United Nations and other international organizations.
