Le Global Cities Hub intensifie son travail dans le domaine de la diplomatie environnementale, reconnaissant l'int\u00e9r\u00eat croissant des villes et des r\u00e9gions \u00e0 participer activement aux discussions et aux prises de d\u00e9cisions internationales. Les principaux lieux o\u00f9 cela se produit sont les Conf\u00e9rences des Parties (COP) sur le climat et autres, ainsi que l'Assembl\u00e9e des Nations Unies pour l'Environnement (UNEA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alors que les collectivit\u00e9s locales et r\u00e9gionales sont de plus en plus nombreuses \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre des politiques environnementales et des accords multilat\u00e9raux et \u00e0 en subir l'impact, la GCH a franchi une \u00e9tape importante en la signature d'un protocole d'accord avec le Programme des Nations unies pour l'environnement (PNUE)<\/strong>. Apr\u00e8s la signature du protocole d'accord, le pr\u00e9sident de la GCH, Sami Kanaan, et le directeur du PNUE, Arnold Kreilhuber, ont discut\u00e9 des d\u00e9fis communs et ont reconfirm\u00e9 leur engagement en faveur d'une collaboration plus \u00e9troite, notamment avec l'unit\u00e9 \"Ville\" du PNUE, qui se concentre sur l'engagement des acteurs urbains dans les processus environnementaux mondiaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par ailleurs, Kamelia Kemileva, codirectrice du GCH, repr\u00e9sente, avec Yunus Arikan (ICLEI), le groupe de travail sur le changement climatique.
