L'\u00e9v\u00e9nement visait \u00e0 favoriser un dialogue ouvert sur le r\u00f4le des gouvernements locaux et r\u00e9gionaux (GLR) dans les n\u00e9gociations en cours sur le nouveau trait\u00e9 sur la pollution plastique. La Coalition se mobilise en amont de la conf\u00e9rence de 2<sup>et<\/sup> dans le cadre du dernier cycle de n\u00e9gociations (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unep.org\/inc-plastic-pollution\/session-5.2\">INC 5.2. 2<sup>et<\/sup> partie<\/a>) pr\u00e9vue \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve en ao\u00fbt prochain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les discussions ont port\u00e9 sur la sauvegarde et l'\u00e9largissement des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences aux GRL dans le projet de texte du trait\u00e9 - en particulier dans les articles relatifs \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre, au financement, aux syst\u00e8mes de r\u00e9utilisation et \u00e0 la planification nationale. Les participants ont soulign\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de reconna\u00eetre officiellement les GLR comme des acteurs cl\u00e9s dans la mise en \u0153uvre du trait\u00e9, notamment en raison de leur proximit\u00e9 avec les citoyens et de leurs responsabilit\u00e9s en premi\u00e8re ligne dans la gestion des d\u00e9chets et la lutte contre la pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un consensus s'est d\u00e9gag\u00e9 sur l'importance strat\u00e9gique des mois \u00e0 venir, la coalition s'engageant \u00e0 maintenir son engagement et \u00e0 poursuivre ses actions de plaidoyer. La coalition a soumis un texte sur la <a href=\"https:\/\/wedocs.unep.org\/bitstream\/handle\/20.500.11822\/46710\/Chairs_Text.pdf\">texte actuel de la pr\u00e9sidence<\/a> (1er d\u00e9cembre 2024) et surveillera toute nouvelle it\u00e9ration du projet de texte et soumettra des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de langage \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidence le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant.
