Disposant souvent de moins de ressources et de moins de pouvoir de d\u00e9cision que les gouvernements centraux, ils sont n\u00e9anmoins directement responsables de la gestion de la pollution. En tant qu'acteurs principaux sur le terrain, ils organisent la collecte des d\u00e9chets, le recyclage et les efforts de pr\u00e9vention de la pollution. C'est pourquoi les gouvernements locaux sont en premi\u00e8re ligne dans la lutte contre la pollution plastique et sont indispensables \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre du trait\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Coalition souligne que sans l'inclusion totale des gouvernements locaux et infranationaux, le Trait\u00e9 sur la pollution plastique risque de rester lettre morte - une d\u00e9claration puissante sur le papier mais dont l'impact dans le monde r\u00e9el est limit\u00e9. \"Il est dans l'int\u00e9r\u00eat de tous de soutenir l'inclusion totale des gouvernements locaux et sous-nationaux dans le trait\u00e9\", a mentionn\u00e9 le repr\u00e9sentant de la Coalition, ajoutant que ce n'est que par leur implication directe que les ambitions du trait\u00e9 peuvent se traduire par des actions significatives sur le terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le plaidoyer de la Coalition est ancr\u00e9 dans ses contributions de longue date aux principaux accords mondiaux sur l'environnement, y compris l'Accord de Paris et le Cadre de Kunming-Montr\u00e9al sur la biodiversit\u00e9.
