La coalition a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Letter-to-Chair-INC-5-from-the-LSNG-Coalition-Final-14112024.pdf\">une lettre ouverte<\/a>&nbsp; et&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Non-paper-3_Suggestions-Local-SubN-Governements-Coalition-to-INC-5-Chair-and-Member-States.pdf\">projet de langue<\/a>&nbsp;adress\u00e9e \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidence des n\u00e9gociations (INC5) mentionnant que le trait\u00e9 repr\u00e9sente une opportunit\u00e9 cruciale pour la communaut\u00e9 mondiale de prendre des mesures d\u00e9cisives contre la pollution plastique, et les gouvernements locaux et infranationaux demandent que leur r\u00f4le unique soit officiellement reconnu comme essentiel \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite de la mise en \u0153uvre du trait\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bien que ces gouvernements puissent op\u00e9rer dans un cadre gouvernemental global, leur r\u00f4le dans la lutte contre la pollution plastique est distinct. Disposant souvent de moins de ressources et de moins de pouvoir de d\u00e9cision que les gouvernements centraux, ils sont n\u00e9anmoins directement responsables de la gestion de la pollution. En tant qu'acteurs principaux sur le terrain, ils organisent la collecte des d\u00e9chets, le recyclage et les efforts de pr\u00e9vention de la pollution. C'est pourquoi les gouvernements locaux sont en premi\u00e8re ligne dans la lutte contre la pollution plastique et sont indispensables \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre du trait\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Coalition souligne que sans la pleine participation des collectivit\u00e9s locales et r\u00e9gionales, le Trait\u00e9 sur la pollution plastique risque de rester lettre morte : une d\u00e9claration forte sur le papier, mais dont l\u2019impact concret serait limit\u00e9. \u201c Il est dans l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de tous de soutenir la pleine participation des collectivit\u00e9s locales et r\u00e9gionales au Trait\u00e9 \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le repr\u00e9sentant de la Coalition, ajoutant que ce n\u2019est que gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur implication directe que les ambitions du trait\u00e9 pourront se traduire par des actions concr\u00e8tes sur le terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'action de plaidoyer de la Coalition s'appuie sur sa contribution de longue date aux grands accords environnementaux mondiaux, notamment l'Accord de Paris et le Cadre de Kunming-Montr\u00e9al pour la biodiversit\u00e9. Ces exp\u00e9riences montrent que l'int\u00e9gration des collectivit\u00e9s locales et r\u00e9gionales dans les cadres internationaux permet non seulement d'am\u00e9liorer l'efficacit\u00e9, mais aussi de favoriser une approche globale pour relever les d\u00e9fis environnementaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aujourd'hui, la Coalition a soumis \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidence et aux \u00c9tats n\u00e9gociateurs plusieurs ajouts modestes mais cruciaux au texte de n\u00e9gociation.
