Le 22 novembre 2023, la GCH a eu le plaisir de contribuer \u00e0 la discussion lors du \"Troisi\u00e8me dialogue des maires sur la promotion de la gouvernance urbaine pour la sant\u00e9 et le bien-\u00eatre\" organis\u00e9 par l'OMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le dialogue s'inscrivait dans le cadre de la Initiative mondiale de l'OMS sur la gouvernance urbaine pour la sant\u00e9 et le bien-\u00eatre<\/a> (2020-2028), qui permet de partager les connaissances et les bonnes pratiques sur les moyens innovants et pratiques de cr\u00e9er la sant\u00e9 et le bien-\u00eatre pour tous dans les villes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Des maires et des repr\u00e9sentants de villes de Gualeguaych\u00fa (Argentine), Khulna (Bangladesh), Douala (Cameroun), Bogota (Colombie), Quito (\u00c9quateur), Mexico (Mexique) et Pasig (Philippines) ont particip\u00e9 au programme qui comprenait des discussions th\u00e9matiques, des visites d'\u00e9tude et des pr\u00e9sentations sur l'avancement des projets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le codirecteur de GCH, M. Duong, a soulign\u00e9 que les villes et les r\u00e9gions sont fortement touch\u00e9es par les d\u00e9fis mondiaux (sant\u00e9, environnement, climat, pollution plastique, migration, etc.) et qu'elles d\u00e9veloppent des actions et des solutions locales qui sont utiles dans les d\u00e9bats des Nations unies sur ces d\u00e9fis. La pr\u00e9sence et la participation des GLR offrent donc une valeur ajout\u00e9e au niveau international, en particulier parce que les maires ont une vision multisectorielle et de l'ensemble de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Elle a expliqu\u00e9 comment les villes peuvent contribuer plus efficacement aux processus multilat\u00e9raux et participer aux discussions pour partager leurs r\u00e9flexions et leurs pens\u00e9es sur la gouvernance pour la sant\u00e9 et le bien-\u00eatre, mais aussi sur d'autres questions trait\u00e9es par la communaut\u00e9 internationale \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GCH plaide en faveur d'une approche pangouvernementale du multilat\u00e9ralisme en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et des questions de sant\u00e9 en particulier. Nous fournissons des informations pertinentes aux GRL sur les processus internationaux identifi\u00e9s et servons de centre de connaissances sur les activit\u00e9s des OI bas\u00e9es \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve. L'\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me international de Gen\u00e8ve englobe toutes les parties prenantes concern\u00e9es, y compris les \u00c9tats, les OI, les ONG et le secteur priv\u00e9, et il devrait \u00e9galement accorder plus d'espace aux GRL. Une meilleure implication des GRL devrait donner lieu \u00e0 un multilat\u00e9ralisme plus efficace et plus inclusif, plus proche des attentes et des besoins des populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au si\u00e8ge de l'OMS, les maires ont rencontr\u00e9 le Dr Tedros, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'OMS, et le Dr Li, sous-directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'OMS charg\u00e9 de la sant\u00e9 des populations. Ils ont \u00e9galement pris connaissance du programme \"Partenariat pour des villes saines\", men\u00e9 en coop\u00e9ration avec Bloomberg Philanthropies, qui promeut l'apprentissage et l'\u00e9change entre pairs autour de 14 domaines politiques cl\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le dialogue des maires sur la promotion de la gouvernance urbaine pour la sant\u00e9 et le bien-\u00eatre est un excellent programme qui prouve l'importance d'un multilat\u00e9ralisme inclusif et d\u00e9montre la valeur ajout\u00e9e des \u00e9changes entre les niveaux local et mondial de prise de d\u00e9cision dans notre monde \"glocalis\u00e9\", comme l'a dit avec \u00e9loquence le directeur Krech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 ravis de renouer avec le maire Agudelo Hernandez de Kennedy, \u00e0 Bogota, ainsi que d'entamer une discussion avec le maire Mbassa Ndine de Douala, le maire Piaggio de Gualeguaychu et le maire Vanegas de Milpa Alta, \u00e0 Mexico. Nous nous r\u00e9jouissons de travailler avec eux sur ce sujet et sur d'autres questions importantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
