Le 17 mai 2023, le Geneva Cities Hub, le Conseil des maires sur les migrations,<\/a> CGLU<\/a> , et le M\u00e9canisme des maires<\/a> ont uni leurs forces pour s'exprimer au nom du groupe des gouvernements locaux et r\u00e9gionaux (LRG) lors de la deuxi\u00e8me r\u00e9union pr\u00e9paratoire officielle du Forum mondial sur les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s (GRF, Gen\u00e8ve, 13-15 d\u00e9cembre 2023). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alors que la communaut\u00e9 internationale se pr\u00e9pare pour le deuxi\u00e8me Forum mondial sur les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s, le GCH et ses partenaires ont rappel\u00e9 le r\u00f4le essentiel des GRL en mati\u00e8re d'inclusion des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s et les r\u00e9alisations du Forum mondial sur les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s. Pacte mondial sur les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s<\/a>. Trois demandes sp\u00e9cifiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 adress\u00e9es aux \u00c9tats et au HCR \u00e0 l'occasion de ces r\u00e9unions pr\u00e9paratoires : <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. accueillir les gouvernements locaux au sein du GRF dans tous les segments de ses programmes, afin qu'ils puissent partager leurs engagements et leur expertise<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. le partenariat avec les collectivit\u00e9s locales et, en particulier, la pr\u00e9sentation par les \u00c9tats d'engagements conjoints avec leurs collectivit\u00e9s locales ou l'inclusion de ces derni\u00e8res dans les d\u00e9l\u00e9gations nationales au GRF<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. consulter les gouvernements locaux sur des solutions politiques en rapport avec les politiques relatives aux r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Le groupe d'int\u00e9r\u00eat des GRL continuera \u00e0 s'engager \u00e0 l'approche du GRF, en particulier pour garantir une participation significative des maires \u00e0 cet important processus multilat\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
