Sami Kanaan, adjoint au maire de la ville de Gen\u00e8ve et pr\u00e9sident du Geneva Cities Hub a ouvert la conf\u00e9rence. <a href=\"https:\/\/forumofmayors.unece.org\/events\/second-forum-mayors-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2e Forum des maires de la CEE-ONU<\/a> le 4 avril 2022, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s du secr\u00e9taire ex\u00e9cutif de la CEE-ONU, du directeur ex\u00e9cutif d'ONU-Habitat et du directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'ONUG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suite \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition r\u00e9ussie qui s'est tenue en 2020, ce deuxi\u00e8me Forum des Maires se concentre sur le th\u00e8me \"Recovering from Covid-19while advancing on the implementation of the SDGs\". Il rassemble plus de 45 maires de la r\u00e9gion europ\u00e9enne et au-del\u00e0 pour \u00e9changer et partager les bonnes pratiques en relation avec la mobilit\u00e9 urbaine, les espaces publics, le logement et la planification urbaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans son intervention, Sami Kanaan a rappel\u00e9 que \"<em>le Forum des maires est unique car il permet aux autorit\u00e9s locales de faire entendre leur voix et de partager leurs points de vue dans un cadre multilat\u00e9ral des Nations unies.<\/em>\". A l'heure o\u00f9 les tensions politiques sont fortes, il a soulign\u00e9 que la CEE doit maintenir un espace de dialogue \u00e0 plusieurs niveaux, c'est-\u00e0-dire entre les maires eux-m\u00eames, mais aussi avec les Etats et l'ONU. Soulignant que l'expertise municipale est devenue plus importante compte tenu de l'urbanisation du monde, M. Kanaan a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de favoriser la coop\u00e9ration entre les villes, leurs r\u00e9seaux, les \u00c9tats et les organisations internationales. C'est pourquoi la ville de Gen\u00e8ve, le Canton et les autorit\u00e9s f\u00e9d\u00e9rales suisses ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 le Geneva Cities Hub pour faciliter la coop\u00e9ration en \"proposant des solutions locales pour r\u00e9pondre aux d\u00e9fis mondiaux, afin de d\u00e9montrer la valeur ajout\u00e9e des autorit\u00e9s locales au niveau international, en particulier dans les processus multilat\u00e9raux\". La Plate-forme d'action des maires constitue un outil int\u00e9ressant pour \u00e9changer les bonnes pratiques urbaines \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Forum des maires de la CEE-ONU dure jusqu'au 5 avril et ses r\u00e9sultats seront communiqu\u00e9s au Forum r\u00e9gional sur le d\u00e9veloppement durable. Le Forum des Maires peut \u00eatre <a href=\"https:\/\/media.un.org\/en\/webtv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">suivi en direct sur la Web TV de l'ONU.<\/a> De nombreux \u00e9v\u00e9nements parall\u00e8les seront organis\u00e9s, dont le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.genevacitieshub.org\/en\/un-regional-commissions-work-with-mayors-good-practices-present-future-perspectives\/\">Ev\u00e9nement parall\u00e8le du GCH avec les Commissions r\u00e9gionales de l'ONU, le 6 avril.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.genevacitieshub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Podium-FoM-1024x590.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16581\"\/><figcaption>M.
