La mont\u00e9e en puissance des consid\u00e9rations environnementales, tant au niveau des citoyens que des politiques, coupl\u00e9e \u00e0 la crise r\u00e9cente et actuelle du Covid, a eu un impact profond sur les syst\u00e8mes de transport urbain. De nombreuses villes ont promu la mobilit\u00e9 douce comme l'avenir du transport urbain.<\/p>\n\n


Les Nations Unies ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le 3 juin \"Journ\u00e9e mondiale du v\u00e9lo\". Le Geneva Cities Hub, en partenariat avec la Mission suisse aupr\u00e8s des Nations Unies, le Fonds des Nations Unies pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 routi\u00e8re, \"Pro Velo<\/a>\" Gen\u00e8ve, le R\u00e9seau Environnemental de Gen\u00e8ve et Urbz<\/a>, a co-organis\u00e9 une F\u00eate des jardins<\/a> \u00e0 la Villa Rigot quelques jours plus tard, le 30 juin 2021, pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer la mobilit\u00e9 douce urbaine et l'assouplissement des mesures Covid \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve. L'\u00e9v\u00e9nement a constitu\u00e9 une occasion bienvenue de se (re)connecter avec des coll\u00e8gues et des amis de la Gen\u00e8ve internationale et locale, y compris des diplomates, des urbanistes et du personnel des Nations Unies.<\/p>\n

Comme l'a mentionn\u00e9 M. Sami Kanaan, vice-maire de Gen\u00e8ve et pr\u00e9sident du Geneva Cities Hub aux invit\u00e9s : \"Quand je suis arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve il y a une trentaine d'ann\u00e9es, il n'y avait pas beaucoup de pistes cyclables dans la ville. Nous avons r\u00e9ussi ensemble \u00e0 changer cette situation, et nous allons continuer\".<\/p>\n\n

\"La mobilit\u00e9 douce est l'avenir des villes\", a fait \u00e9cho M. Jean-Pierre Reymond, Aujourd'hui 2050<\/a> coordinateur global, Charg\u00e9 de mission, Mission permanente de la Suisse. En partenariat avec les Nations Unies, 2050Today rassemble une communaut\u00e9 d'institutions de la Gen\u00e8ve internationale d\u00e9termin\u00e9es \u00e0 assurer une r\u00e9duction rapide, continue et mesurable de leurs \u00e9missions de carbone.<\/p>\n\n

En ce qui concerne la mobilit\u00e9 douce \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, il existe de nombreuses initiatives telles que se rendre au travail en v\u00e9lo<\/a> et d'autres qui m\u00e9ritent d'\u00eatre connues et suivies, a conclu Mme Diana Rizzolio, coordinatrice de la R\u00e9seau Environnemental de Gen\u00e8ve (GEN)<\/a>Ce partenariat coop\u00e9ratif de plus de 75 organisations de d\u00e9fense de l'environnement et du d\u00e9veloppement durable, bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, est h\u00e9berg\u00e9 par le Programme des Nations unies pour l'environnement.<\/p>\n\n
