Una respuesta la ofrecen las redes internacionales de ciudades, como la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcooperationfund.org\/mdc\">Alcaldes por la Cooperaci\u00f3n Digital (MDC)<\/a>, una nueva red mundial destinada a reforzar el papel de las ciudades en la gobernanza digital y a apoyar la aplicaci\u00f3n de los compromisos internacionales en materia digital a nivel local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lanzado por <a href=\"https:\/\/unhabitat.org\/\">ONU-H\u00e1bitat<\/a> y el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/digital-emerging-technologies\/\">Oficina de las Naciones Unidas para las Tecnolog\u00edas Digitales y Emergentes (ODET)<\/a>, el MDC re\u00fane a alcaldes y altos cargos municipales en el marco de una nueva red mundial dedicada a impulsar la localizaci\u00f3n de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/digital-emerging-technologies\/global-digital-compact\">Pacto Digital Global (GDC)<\/a> en las ciudades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La primera Asamblea del MDC tuvo lugar durante el <a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/es\/13th-world-urban-forum-multilevel-cooperation-for-sustainable-urbanization\/\">Foro Urbano Mundial (WUF13)<\/a>, a la que asistieron <a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/es\/\">Centro de Ciudades Globales (GCH)<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/wuf.unhabitat.org\/event\/wuf13\/mayors-digital-cooperation-mdc-inaugural-assembly\">La reuni\u00f3n inaugural<\/a> present\u00f3 el mandato del MDC, su estructura de gobernanza y el borrador de la hoja de ruta para el periodo 2026-2029, al tiempo que invit\u00f3 a los alcaldes a aportar sus ideas sobre las prioridades futuras de la red. La sesi\u00f3n combin\u00f3 debates estrat\u00e9gicos con intercambios pr\u00e1cticos sobre herramientas de inclusi\u00f3n digital, los mecanismos de apoyo de las Naciones Unidas disponibles y ejemplos de iniciativas innovadoras puestas en marcha por ciudades y organizaciones asociadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La puesta en marcha del MDC pone de relieve una evoluci\u00f3n m\u00e1s amplia en la gobernanza multilateral: las ciudades se organizan cada vez m\u00e1s a trav\u00e9s de redes internacionales para hacer frente a retos comunes, influir en los debates mundiales y acelerar la aplicaci\u00f3n de las agendas internacionales sobre el terreno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El MDC se une a un ecosistema cada vez m\u00e1s amplio de redes internacionales de ciudades que fomentan la cooperaci\u00f3n entre los gobiernos locales y regionales en cuestiones que abarcan desde la acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica y el desarrollo urbano hasta la transformaci\u00f3n digital y la prestaci\u00f3n de servicios p\u00fablicos. A trav\u00e9s de estas redes, los gobiernos locales y regionales (GLR) pueden intercambiar experiencias, elaborar posiciones comunes y reforzar su contribuci\u00f3n a los procesos pol\u00edticos mundiales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para ayudar a las partes interesadas a orientarse en este ecosistema cada vez m\u00e1s amplio de redes de ciudades, el Global Cities Hub mantiene el <a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/es\/city-networks-directory\/\">Directorio internacional de redes de ciudades<\/a>.
