Podemos beneficiarnos de la mayor capacidad de estos sistemas para construir ciudades y comunidades m\u00e1s inclusivas y resilientes si pensamos juntos y lo traducimos en valor p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Todos los oradores del Debate Urbano de Ginebra coincidieron en que la tecnolog\u00eda es una herramienta para abordar los retos de la humanidad. Es nuestra responsabilidad definir el prop\u00f3sito claro de utilizarla para avanzar en el desarrollo centrado en el ser humano. Los alcaldes y los responsables de las ciudades deben asegurarse de que los avances responden a la agenda local y son pertinentes para las necesidades de la gente sobre el terreno. Lo ideal ser\u00eda que tambi\u00e9n estuvieran en consonancia con los marcos mundiales, como los ODS, y con los planes nacionales de desarrollo para maximizar las sinergias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como se ha explicado, la evoluci\u00f3n de la inform\u00e1tica espacial nos permite crear mundos virtuales, como el citiverse, donde los servicios municipales centrados en el ser humano son f\u00e1cilmente accesibles y f\u00e1ciles de usar. Si se desarrollan adecuadamente, pueden contribuir tambi\u00e9n a reducir la brecha cognitiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, citiverse no es un objetivo en s\u00ed mismo. Es una forma totalmente nueva de abordar los problemas locales. La comunidad debe decidir cu\u00e1les son las prioridades clave y los l\u00edderes locales deben tomar medidas para hacerlas realidad. Las distintas herramientas desarrolladas por organizaciones internacionales, especialmente la UIT y ONU-H\u00e1bitat, ayudan a evaluar d\u00f3nde est\u00e1 la ciudad y c\u00f3mo llegar adonde quiere estar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se espera que los alcaldes ofrezcan una visi\u00f3n, una estrategia, un marco de aplicaci\u00f3n y tomen medidas concretas. Adoptar la nueva tecnolog\u00eda contribuye a obtener resultados. El di\u00e1logo entre iguales puede ayudar a superar el miedo a lo desconocido. Las iniciativas de organizaciones internacionales, como el \"<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/metaverse\/virtual-worlds\/\">Iniciativa Global sobre Mundos Virtuales e IA - Descubriendo el Citiverse<\/a>\" ayudan a acelerar el viaje digital evitando la repetici\u00f3n de pasos en falso y la reinvenci\u00f3n innecesaria de procesos.
