El objetivo de la reuni\u00f3n era que los socios con sede en Ginebra desarrollaran un camino a seguir para consolidar su trabajo con ONU-H\u00e1bitat, bas\u00e1ndose en el legado de 30 a\u00f1os del programa de ciudades m\u00e1s seguras de ONU-H\u00e1bitat y con el debido conocimiento de su nuevo plan estrat\u00e9gico, que se centra en abordar la crisis mundial de la vivienda. El debate se centr\u00f3 en los principales retos relacionados con el posicionamiento de una vivienda adecuada en el centro de las pol\u00edticas de seguridad humana. Tambi\u00e9n se debati\u00f3 el desarrollo de herramientas para una seguridad humana integral en las ciudades, con el objetivo de crear un centro mundial en Ginebra para compartir pr\u00e1cticas comunes que permitan abordar los principales problemas en este \u00e1mbito y mejorar el aprendizaje entre ciudades. Estos problemas afectan a ciudades de todo el mundo, tanto del Norte como del Sur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En su discurso de apertura, la Directora Ejecutiva de ONU-H\u00e1bitat, Anacl\u00e1udia Rossbach, hizo hincapi\u00e9 en la importancia del multilateralismo participativo y subray\u00f3 la necesidad de contar con datos, conocimientos e investigaci\u00f3n fiables como parte de una infraestructura global para las perspectivas de colaboraci\u00f3n. Destac\u00f3 retos clave como la falta de vivienda, la asequibilidad y las cat\u00e1strofes inminentes, al tiempo que abog\u00f3 por un enfoque hol\u00edstico de las inversiones en estos \u00e1mbitos. \"Las ciudades quieren saber lo que ocurre en otras ciudades\", afirm\u00f3. Tambi\u00e9n subray\u00f3 la dimensi\u00f3n de g\u00e9nero en todos los debates relacionados con la vivienda, afirmando que, despu\u00e9s de cuidar de los dem\u00e1s y trabajar, las mujeres deben poder volver a casa en condiciones de seguridad, sobre todo en zonas cr\u00edticas como los asentamientos informales. ED Rossbach hizo un llamamiento en favor de un \"contrato social para las ciudades que queremos\" y prometi\u00f3 plantear esta cuesti\u00f3n en la agenda internacional. Los participantes se hicieron eco de que la inseguridad en la vivienda es una forma de violencia en s\u00ed misma y tambi\u00e9n puede ser causa de violencia. La seguridad clim\u00e1tica y su relaci\u00f3n con la vivienda sostenible tambi\u00e9n ocup\u00f3 un lugar destacado en el orden del d\u00eda del taller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Directora de la Divisi\u00f3n de Suelo, Vivienda y Bosques de la CEPE, Paola Deda, destac\u00f3 el importante papel que desempe\u00f1an espacios como la <a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/es\/the-forum-of-mayors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Foro de Alcaldes de la ONU<\/a>y el pr\u00f3ximo <a href=\"https:\/\/unece.org\/info\/events\/event\/399183\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reuni\u00f3n ministerial de la CEPE sobre vivienda<\/a> en el fomento del debate sobre estos temas, as\u00ed como la necesidad de alianzas para reforzar las relaciones entre los niveles local, regional, nacional y mundial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, durante las sesiones de debate, se hicieron diversas aportaciones sobre cuestiones como la inseguridad de la vivienda, los desahucios, los barrios marginales y la violencia urbana, entre otras. Los participantes proced\u00edan de socios clave como la OACDH, el PNUMA, el PNUD, instituciones acad\u00e9micas como el GCSP, el Geneva Graduate Institute, redes de ciudades, y otros socios profundizaron en distintos aspectos de esta compleja cuesti\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunos plantearon cuestiones provocadoras, como la migraci\u00f3n masiva de las ciudades a la orilla del mar y el papel de las organizaciones delictivas con un control efectivo sobre las comunidades locales mediante la prestaci\u00f3n de servicios p\u00fablicos. Los participantes subrayaron el papel de la gobernanza local y regional en la definici\u00f3n de una seguridad centrada en las personas y en la gesti\u00f3n de los riesgos para el futuro de las ciudades y las cuestiones de urbanizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por \u00faltimo, otras organizaciones y el mundo acad\u00e9mico subrayaron la necesidad de disponer de mejores herramientas y datos para lograr la paz en contextos locales afectados por la violencia y la inseguridad.
