Por esta raz\u00f3n, los gobiernos locales est\u00e1n efectivamente a la vanguardia de la lucha contra la contaminaci\u00f3n por pl\u00e1sticos y son indispensables para la aplicaci\u00f3n del tratado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Coalici\u00f3n subraya que, sin la plena inclusi\u00f3n de los gobiernos locales y subnacionales, el Tratado sobre la Contaminaci\u00f3n por Pl\u00e1sticos corre el riesgo de convertirse en una \u201cletra muerta\u201d: una declaraci\u00f3n contundente sobre el papel, pero con un impacto limitado en la realidad. \u201cA todos nos interesa apoyar la plena inclusi\u00f3n de los gobiernos locales y subnacionales en el Tratado\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el representante de la Coalici\u00f3n, a\u00f1adiendo que solo a trav\u00e9s de su participaci\u00f3n directa podr\u00e1n las ambiciones del tratado traducirse en acciones significativas sobre el terreno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La labor de promoci\u00f3n de la Coalici\u00f3n se basa en sus contribuciones de larga data a los principales acuerdos medioambientales mundiales, entre ellos el Acuerdo de Par\u00eds y el Marco de Kunming-Montreal sobre la Biodiversidad.
