Para controlarla, la\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wipo.int\/portal\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual<\/a>\u00a0(OMPI) publica anualmente el \u00cdndice Mundial de Innovaci\u00f3n (GII), que tambi\u00e9n identifica las 100 principales agrupaciones de ciencia y tecnolog\u00eda (CyT) del mundo. A\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o, \u00e9stas resultan ser ciudades.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El pr\u00f3ximo GII ser\u00e1&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wipo.int\/web\/global-innovation-index\/w\/news\/2024\/save-the-date-gii-2024\">lanzado<\/a>&nbsp;el 26 de septiembre, pero&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wipo.int\/pressroom\/en\/articles\/2024\/article_0012.html\">previsualizar<\/a>&nbsp;indica que los centros urbanos de Asia (Tokio-Yokohama, Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou) y Estados Unidos (San Jos\u00e9-San Francisco) dominan los diez primeros puestos. Los centros de varios pa\u00edses de renta media, como El Cairo, Chennai y Estambul, est\u00e1n creciendo r\u00e1pidamente.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los n\u00facleos urbanos son responsables de muchas soluciones a los retos mundiales. Su influencia creativa refuerza el argumento de que la ONU y otros procesos multilaterales deber\u00edan acoger favorablemente los conocimientos y la experiencia que las ciudades pueden aportar a la formulaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas mundiales.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\"Las agrupaciones cient\u00edficas y tecnol\u00f3gicas son la base de unos s\u00f3lidos ecosistemas nacionales de innovaci\u00f3n. Es alentador ver que estas agrupaciones prosperan no s\u00f3lo en los centros maduros de las naciones industrializadas, sino tambi\u00e9n en los nuevos focos de innovaci\u00f3n de determinadas econom\u00edas en desarrollo.
