Nuestro objetivo era amplificar sus voces en el principal \u00f3rgano intergubernamental de derechos humanos de la ONU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Contexto:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/es\/human-rights-council\/\">El Consejo de Derechos Humanos (CDH)<\/a> es el principal \u00f3rgano intergubernamental de la ONU encargado de reforzar la promoci\u00f3n y protecci\u00f3n de los derechos humanos en todo el mundo y de hacer frente a las situaciones de violaci\u00f3n de los derechos humanos. Celebra tres periodos ordinarios de sesiones al a\u00f1o, es decir, 55<sup>th<\/sup>, 56<sup>th<\/sup> y 57<sup>th<\/sup> sesiones en 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Muchas de las cuestiones abordadas por el CDH son de gran relevancia para los GLR, ya que a menudo requieren diversas medidas, como legislativas, presupuestarias, administrativas, promocionales, educativas, etc., para cumplir con las obligaciones internacionales de su Estado de promover y proteger los derechos humanos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Por lo tanto, es fundamental que los GLR se comprometan activamente con la agenda de derechos humanos y trabajen para aplicar pol\u00edticas e iniciativas que defiendan y promuevan los derechos humanos en sus comunidades.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Objetivos de GCH en HRC55:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>El objetivo del GCH era dar m\u00e1s visibilidad a los GLR en los temas tratados por el CDH que son de gran relevancia para los GLR. En el 55<sup>th<\/sup> En particular, la sesi\u00f3n del GCH se centr\u00f3 en la mejora de la participaci\u00f3n de los GLR en el trabajo del CDH, la protecci\u00f3n del medio ambiente, as\u00ed como la asequibilidad de la vivienda (adecuada) y la falta de hogar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Acciones concretas de GCH:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Una de nuestras principales contribuciones fue apoyar a los Estados en la redacci\u00f3n de una Declaraci\u00f3n conjunta sobre gobiernos locales y derechos humanos. M\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n <a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/es\/at-un-hrc-states-jointly-underline-need-to-provide-more-space-to-local-governments-for-a-more-inclusive-multilateralism\/\">aqu\u00ed<\/a> y consulte el texto \u00edntegro de la declaraci\u00f3n conjunta.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El GCH tambi\u00e9n moder\u00f3 un acto coorganizado por Brasil, Finlandia, Alemania y Namibia para abordar las cuestiones interrelacionadas de la (in)asequibilidad de la vivienda y la falta de hogar, ambas de gran actualidad para los GLR.  M\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n <a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/es\/ensuring-housing-affordability-ending-homelessness-a-global-challenge\/\">aqu\u00ed<\/a>. En este contexto, saludamos la llamada \"resoluci\u00f3n sobre la vivienda\", adoptada bajo el liderazgo de los Estados mencionados, que contiene, para el 1<sup>st<\/sup> tiempo, hace fuertes referencias al papel de los GLR en el \u00e1mbito de la vivienda y anima a los gobiernos centrales y a las agencias del sistema de la ONU a trabajar con los GLR, v\u00e9ase <em>el texto \u00edntegro de la resoluci\u00f3n <a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Human-Rights-Council-resolution-Adequate-Housing-adequate-standard-of-living-and-non-dscrimination-adopted-3-April-2024-55-L-12.pdf\">aqu\u00ed<\/a>en particular los apartados : OP1 (t) y OP2 (b).<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adem\u00e1s, hicimos hincapi\u00e9 en el impacto de la resoluci\u00f3n de litigios entre inversores y Estados sobre los GLR y resaltamos la importancia de la colaboraci\u00f3n entre inversores y GLR para abordar las necesidades en materia de derechos humanos y medio ambiente, durante el hist\u00f3rico acto basado en el informe (<a href=\"https:\/\/undocs.org\/Home\/Mobile?FinalSymbol=A%2F78%2F168&amp;Language=E&amp;DeviceType=Desktop&amp;LangRequested=False\">A\/78\/168<\/a>), coorganizado por el GCH, el Relator Especial de la ONU y el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.genevaenvironmentnetwork.org\/events\/human-rights-and-environmental-impacts-of-investors-states-dispute-settlements-isds-mechanisms-geneva-rights-and-environment-talks\/\">Red Ambiental de Ginebra (GEN)<\/a>. Los GLR desempe\u00f1an un papel crucial a la hora de ejecutar los proyectos de inversi\u00f3n y garantizar el cumplimiento de la normativa local. Al fomentar la colaboraci\u00f3n entre los inversores y los GLR, podemos maximizar los beneficios y, al mismo tiempo, abordar los problemas de derechos humanos y medioambientales a nivel local.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tambi\u00e9n acogemos con satisfacci\u00f3n la nueva iteraci\u00f3n de la resoluci\u00f3n que establece el derecho a un medio ambiente sano en relaci\u00f3n con los derechos humanos, adoptada bajo el liderazgo de Costa Rica, Maldivas, Marruecos, Eslovenia y Suiza, que anima al Relator Especial a trabajar con los GLR en el cumplimiento de su mandato en este \u00e1mbito. ver <em>el texto \u00edntegro de la resoluci\u00f3n <a href=\"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Human-Rights-Council-resolution-Human-Rights-to-a-clean-healthy-and-sustainable-envrionment-adopted-3-April-2024-55-L-1.pdf\">aqu\u00ed<\/a>en particular los apartados: OP4 (a).<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusiones<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>En conclusi\u00f3n, los GLR tienen mucho que ganar con una mayor participaci\u00f3n en la labor del Consejo de Derechos Humanos. El Global Cities Hub se compromete a apoyar a los GLR en su compromiso con el Consejo, incluido el Examen Peri\u00f3dico Universal.
