En los dos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os ha aumentado, pero algunos analistas temen que el retroceso siga siendo permanente. La diferencia entre los que tienen el nivel de vida m\u00e1s alto y los que lo tienen m\u00e1s bajo ha aumentado, rompiendo una tendencia que duraba d\u00e9cadas. La misma tendencia se ha observado a nivel local entre las ciudades y las comunidades rurales. The Economist se\u00f1al\u00f3 que los habitantes de las zonas ricas de Asia, Europa y Norteam\u00e9rica no s\u00f3lo viven m\u00e1s a\u00f1os y disfrutan de m\u00e1s a\u00f1os de escolarizaci\u00f3n, sino que adem\u00e1s viven en ciudades mucho m\u00e1s f\u00e1ciles y agradables de habitar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Unidad de Inteligencia de The Economist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eiu.com\/n\/campaigns\/global-liveability-index-2023\/?utm_source=economist&amp;utm_medium=daily_chart&amp;utm_campaign=liveability23\">\u00cdndice de habitabilidad 2023<\/a>&nbsp;muestra que las ciudades de todo el mundo se han recuperado totalmente del deterioro causado por la pandemia del covid-19, bas\u00e1ndose en la investigaci\u00f3n de las condiciones de vida en 173 ciudades en cinco categor\u00edas: estabilidad, atenci\u00f3n sanitaria, cultura y medio ambiente, educaci\u00f3n e infraestructuras. La \"ciudad inteligente\" es un concepto de desarrollo urbano que pretende mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas mediante el uso de las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas (IA, IoT, TIC, digitalizaci\u00f3n, etc.) en diversos \u00e1mbitos.
