Con toda una delegaci\u00f3n de gobiernos locales y regionales (GLR) movilizada por el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayorsmechanism.org\/\">Mecanismo de los alcaldes del FMMD<\/a>Los GLR transmitir\u00e1n mensajes contundentes sobre sus acciones audaces e innovadoras para proteger y ayudar a los migrantes y refugiados, entre otras cosas, a trav\u00e9s de la iniciativa <a href=\"https:\/\/localaction.mayorsmechanism.org\/\">Llamamiento a la acci\u00f3n local<\/a> en la que se asumieron m\u00e1s de 120 compromisos para aplicar los Pactos de la ONU sobre Migraci\u00f3n y Refugiados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De particular inter\u00e9s, la presidencia francesa del FMMD ha fijado una de sus 6 prioridades en la cuesti\u00f3n de la \"gobernanza multinivel de la migraci\u00f3n\". Una mesa redonda debatir\u00e1 la necesidad de reunir a las distintas partes interesadas para mejorar la gesti\u00f3n de la migraci\u00f3n (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gfmd.org\/sites\/g\/files\/tmzbdl1801\/files\/documents\/france2023\/roundtables\/GFMD%20GRT%206%20-%20Background%20paper%20Final_EN.pdf?EN\">Mesa redonda 6, 25 de enero, 9:30-12:00<\/a>). Adem\u00e1s, el Mecanismo de Alcaldes del FMMD proporcionar\u00e1 un espacio para el di\u00e1logo entre los gobiernos nacionales, regionales y locales con el fin de debatir acciones conjuntas y soluciones concretas para una mayor colaboraci\u00f3n en la elaboraci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas migratorias entre los distintos niveles de gobierno (<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1dbISXj7iZ-bNw3_3B4kFTts1Ju-B_xXl\/view\">Reuni\u00f3n de redes nacionales y locales, 25 de enero, 13:30-15:00<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoy en d\u00eda, la gran mayor\u00eda de los emigrantes van a las ciudades, en busca de seguridad, vivienda, educaci\u00f3n y trabajo. Algunas ciudades han tomado medidas concretas para hacer frente a estas llegadas. Por ejemplo, Barcelona, Barranquilla, Bogot\u00e1, Montevideo y Quezon City han creado \"ventanillas \u00fanicas\" para que migrantes y refugiados puedan acceder a una amplia gama de servicios a trav\u00e9s de un punto espec\u00edfico. Montreal y Sao Paulo forman a sus instituciones y empleados p\u00fablicos para garantizar que el acceso a los servicios p\u00fablicos no sea discriminatorio. Otras, como Accra, eThekwini, Haho, Sfax, Brus, Nairobi o Par\u00eds, invierten en mejorar la recogida de datos para atender mejor las necesidades espec\u00edficas de sus comunidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, las ciudades no pueden hacerlo solas. Necesitan un entorno jur\u00eddico y pol\u00edtico adecuado y recursos para garantizar que la igualdad de acceso a los servicios p\u00fablicos sea una realidad para todos. En particular, dado que a los gobiernos locales se les pide que hagan m\u00e1s con menos, es necesario que obtengan un acceso directo y mayor a la financiaci\u00f3n internacional. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El FMMD es un gran espacio para debatir abiertamente estas cuestiones, dado que reconoce formalmente el papel fundamental de los gobiernos locales en la gobernanza de la migraci\u00f3n.
