Con motivo del D\u00eda Mundial de la Infancia y en honor del Centenario de la Declaraci\u00f3n de Ginebra sobre los Derechos del Ni\u00f1o<\/a>, el GCH ha decidido destacar la labor del Fondo de las Naciones Unidas para la Infancia<\/a> (UNICEF) e incluirlo en nuestra cartograf\u00eda. La cartograf\u00eda del GCH presenta el trabajo sobre cuestiones urbanas que los agentes internacionales est\u00e1n realizando en Ginebra. Su objetivo es mostrar ese trabajo, forjar conexiones entre esos actores y construir una comunidad de expertos urbanos en Ginebra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNICEF trabaja para salvar las vidas de los ni\u00f1os, defender sus derechos y ayudarles a desarrollar todo su potencial, desde la primera infancia hasta la adolescencia. UNICEF tiene varios programas e iniciativas relacionados con los gobiernos subnacionales o los gobiernos locales y regionales. Participa en diversas actividades urbanas para promover los derechos y el bienestar de la infancia en las zonas urbanas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNICEF trabaja para garantizar que las comunidades urbanas tengan acceso a agua potable e instalaciones de saneamiento adecuadas. Apoya iniciativas para proporcionar educaci\u00f3n de calidad y servicios de desarrollo de la primera infancia a los ni\u00f1os que viven en zonas urbanas.
