Las contribuciones de una docena de organizaciones del ecosistema internacional de Ginebra hicieron que fuera especialmente valioso comprender mejor lo que se necesita para evitar que una urbanizaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida y no planificada provoque el colapso de los servicios p\u00fablicos y conflictos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El GCH cree que es posible un escenario de futuro m\u00e1s deseable, en el que la comunidad internacional priorice las inversiones en la construcci\u00f3n de ciudades inteligentes, verdes y resilientes en todo el mundo. La econom\u00eda de escala de los servicios p\u00fablicos y privados en las ciudades, la concentraci\u00f3n de conocimientos y la capacidad de innovaci\u00f3n hacen de las ciudades una parte clave de la soluci\u00f3n a los retos mundiales. Una poblaci\u00f3n mundial mayoritariamente urbana se beneficia de la enorme eficiencia de la vida conectada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las ciudades se convierten en el campo de pruebas para encontrar soluciones colectivas a los retos globales y transformar la econom\u00eda mundial hacia un modelo sostenible y resiliente que tenga en cuenta la urbanizaci\u00f3n. Aumentan dr\u00e1sticamente su propia conectividad, compartiendo recursos de forma m\u00e1s equitativa y eficiente, y desarrollando acuerdos internacionales. El crecimiento econ\u00f3mico mundial espoleado por la urbanizaci\u00f3n permite mayores inversiones en desarrollo sostenible en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante el debate surgieron cuestiones importantes, como la transformaci\u00f3n del sistema financiero internacional hacia inversiones sostenibles, incluida la reducci\u00f3n del riesgo de las inversiones privadas en entornos fr\u00e1giles. La creciente tendencia a la cooperaci\u00f3n entre las distintas partes interesadas (GRL, Estados y organizaciones internacionales), que allana el camino para las inversiones conjuntas en energ\u00eda verde, soluciones basadas en la naturaleza, resiliencia y sostenibilidad, ofrece importantes oportunidades. La naturaleza cambiante de la toma de decisiones -m\u00e1s cercana a los ciudadanos- fue considerada por algunos como una v\u00eda de gran potencial para unas pol\u00edticas m\u00e1s centradas en las personas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El GCH est\u00e1 convencido de que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.genevacitieshub.org\/en\/what-we-do\/\">una mayor participaci\u00f3n de los GLR en los procesos multilaterales<\/a> Abordar los retos mundiales con efectos locales es el enfoque adecuado para realizar y beneficiarse de un multilateralismo integrador y eficaz.
