Se trata de un hito fundamental, ya que reconoce el importante papel que desempe\u00f1an las ciudades y las autoridades locales en la prevenci\u00f3n, preparaci\u00f3n y respuesta a las emergencias sanitarias. <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.who.int\/gb\/ebwha\/pdf_files\/WHA75\/A75_ACONF2-en.pdf\">La resoluci\u00f3n<\/a> insta a los Estados miembros a que presten la debida atenci\u00f3n a la preparaci\u00f3n y la respuesta a las emergencias sanitarias en las ciudades y los entornos urbanos, reconociendo sus vulnerabilidades \u00fanicas. Solicita a la Directora General de la OMS que preste apoyo t\u00e9cnico para reforzar las capacidades y las posibilidades de preparaci\u00f3n y respuesta a las emergencias sanitarias urbanas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con esta resoluci\u00f3n, se hace especial hincapi\u00e9 en las ciudades por varias razones: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>las ciudades internacionales se han convertido en focos de pandemias, como resultado de la globalizaci\u00f3n de los viajes y el comercio<\/li><li>las condiciones sanitarias urbanas podr\u00edan predeterminar la capacidad de manejar las consecuencias de una pandemia<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>El aumento de la inversi\u00f3n para reforzar las capacidades y los medios relacionados con los servicios sanitarios urbanos -incluida la preparaci\u00f3n y la respuesta a las emergencias sanitarias- es esencial para el futuro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es de esperar que los gobiernos den pasos importantes hacia una coordinaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s eficaz entre los niveles mundial, nacional y local.
