El acto examin\u00f3 el modo en que las ciudades crean resiliencia frente al cambio clim\u00e1tico y c\u00f3mo reducir el impacto socioecon\u00f3mico del COVID-19. Para ello, se examin\u00f3 la investigaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica, los estudios de la ONU y las acciones de los alcaldes.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A medida que el mundo se enfrenta a una crisis global sin precedentes con graves repercusiones que amenazan la consecuci\u00f3n de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible y sus 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), la acci\u00f3n local y los alcaldes, en particular, son m\u00e1s importantes que nunca. A falta de ocho a\u00f1os para la consecuci\u00f3n de la Agenda 2030, la pandemia del COVID-19 obliga a garantizar simult\u00e1neamente una recuperaci\u00f3n resistente y a acelerar el progreso hacia los ODS.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ciudades de todo el mundo se enfrentan a la pandemia del COVID-19, al tiempo que intentan dar prioridad a la justicia, la econom\u00eda y la acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica en sus estrategias de recuperaci\u00f3n. Los avances en materia de desarrollo sostenible deben reactivarse ante la peor crisis econ\u00f3mica mundial en casi un siglo. Ahora es el momento de que los gobiernos nacionales y municipales vuelvan a ser m\u00e1s fuertes, m\u00e1s justos y m\u00e1s respetuosos con el medio ambiente que antes. ONU-H\u00e1bitat y sus socios, ciudades y otros, se enfrentan a la perspectiva de (i) repensar el espacio urbano existente, para desarrollar la resiliencia y (ii) garantizar que aquellos espacios urbanos que a\u00fan est\u00e1n por construir se planifiquen teniendo en cuenta la resiliencia. \"<em>La resiliencia no se limita a la infraestructura f\u00edsica y la planificaci\u00f3n, sino que tambi\u00e9n tiene que ver con las estructuras de gobernanza, el compromiso de la comunidad, etc. y la creaci\u00f3n de una \"agilidad\" para responder a las crisis<\/em>\", dijo <strong>Sr. Graham Alabaster,<\/strong> Jefe de la oficina de ONU-H\u00e1bitat en Ginebra.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sra.
