Por lo tanto, reforzar las conexiones entre los agentes urbanos y facilitar su participaci\u00f3n en los debates pol\u00edticos internacionales es vital para ampliar los enfoques innovadores basados en experiencias concretas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con este esp\u00edritu, Sami Kanaan, miembro del Consejo Ejecutivo de la Ciudad de Ginebra y Presidente del Geneva Cities Hub (GCH), y Olga Algayerova, Secretaria Ejecutiva del <a href=\"https:\/\/unece.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Comisi\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica para Europa de las Naciones Unidas<\/a> (CEPE) firmaron un Memorando de Entendimiento el 7 de marzo de 2022 para formalizar y reforzar su cooperaci\u00f3n. Desde la creaci\u00f3n del GCH, la CEPE ha sido uno de sus principales socios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.genevacitieshub.org\/en\/un-economic-commission-for-europe\/\">UNECE <\/a>es una de las cinco comisiones regionales de la ONU y se ha comprometido a dar voz a las ciudades en relaci\u00f3n con el desarrollo urbano sostenible, que est\u00e1 en el centro de sus \u00e1reas de inter\u00e9s. Como tal, organiza el <a href=\"https:\/\/forumofmayors.unece.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Foro de Alcaldes<\/a> para que los l\u00edderes de las ciudades intercambien experiencias, presenten sus esfuerzos para afrontar los retos urbanos y discutan c\u00f3mo trabajar juntos en el contexto de la ONU. En el marco de su cooperaci\u00f3n permanente, el Geneva Cities Hub es socio oficial del Foro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olga Algayerova afirm\u00f3 que \"<em>Los alcaldes desempe\u00f1an un papel crucial en el fomento del desarrollo sostenible.
