{"id":12282,"date":"2021-06-10T15:01:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-10T15:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.genevacitieshub.org\/?p=12282"},"modified":"2022-02-23T15:51:17","modified_gmt":"2022-02-23T14:51:17","slug":"cities-can-accelerating-progress-towards-the-sdgs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/es\/cities-can-accelerating-progress-towards-sdgs\/","title":{"rendered":"Las ciudades pueden: acelerar el progreso hacia los ODS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>El 10 de junio de 2021<\/strong>El Centro de Ciudades de Ginebra, ONU-H\u00e1bitat y <a href=\"https:\/\/citycancerchallenge.org\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n City Cancer Challenge (C\/Can)<\/a> coorganiz\u00f3 un segundo debate urbano en l\u00ednea en Ginebra sobre el papel de las ciudades en relaci\u00f3n con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El acto reuni\u00f3 a unos 200 participantes de todo el mundo y ofreci\u00f3 la oportunidad de presentar las conclusiones de un <a href=\"https:\/\/pages.devex.com\/cities-can.html\">nuevo informe<\/a> por C\/Can y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devex.com\/\">Devex <\/a>destacando c\u00f3mo las iniciativas dirigidas por las ciudades pueden acelerar el progreso hacia los ODS.<br>Sami Kanaan (Vicealcalde de Ginebra y Presidente del Geneva Cities Hub) pronunci\u00f3 unas palabras de bienvenida y Paola Deda (Directora de la Divisi\u00f3n de Bosques, Tierra y Vivienda, <a href=\"https:\/\/unece.org\/\">Comisi\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica para Europa de la ONU<\/a>) moder\u00f3 el debate.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cada uno de los ponentes ha explicado su trabajo en apoyo de las ciudades y los ODS, y todos ellos han subrayado la importancia de:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>dise\u00f1ar programas y soluciones a partir de la evaluaci\u00f3n de las necesidades de la ciudad y de los datos recogidos a nivel local;<\/li><li>enfoques multipartitos con las principales partes interesadas que aportan sus respectivos conocimientos en favor de soluciones m\u00e1s inteligentes y sostenibles;<\/li><li>Enfoques centrados en el ser humano que garantizan que las soluciones se dise\u00f1en pensando en las personas;<\/li><li>El compromiso de la comunidad, que fomenta la participaci\u00f3n de los residentes urbanos y garantiza que las soluciones respondan a sus necesidades.<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Susan Henshall (Directora General de C\/Can) hizo hincapi\u00e9 en que los ODS se aplican a nivel local y lo ilustr\u00f3 con el trabajo realizado por C\/Can a nivel municipal para mejorar el acceso a una atenci\u00f3n oncol\u00f3gica de calidad y equitativa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Dr. Onyeka Erobu (Asesor Superior de Salud, Oficina del Alcalde de Freetown, Sierra Leona) demostr\u00f3 c\u00f3mo se aplicaron los ODS a trav\u00e9s de la \"<a href=\"https:\/\/fcc.gov.sl\/transform-freetown\/\">Transformar Freetown<\/a>\" con el objetivo de mejorar la vida cotidiana de la poblaci\u00f3n en diversos \u00e1mbitos como la salud, el agua y el saneamiento, la movilidad urbana, la educaci\u00f3n, la creaci\u00f3n de empleo, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shalini Singaravelu (Directora de Programas, Iniciativas Sanitarias, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibm.org\/?lnk=hpmex_buab\">IBM<\/a>) habl\u00f3 del proyecto de IBM para mejorar los informes de patolog\u00eda del c\u00e1ncer que se puso a prueba a nivel de ciudad, en Asunci\u00f3n (Paraguay).
