El objetivo era centrarse en determinadas ciudades afectadas por la violencia urbana y escuchar a los representantes municipales y a los profesionales sanitarios. Compartieron sus experiencias y buenas pr\u00e1cticas para reducir la violencia dirigida a los servicios sanitarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre los participantes se encontraban gestores municipales y representantes del sector sanitario de Chicago (EE.UU.), Karachi (Pakist\u00e1n) y Fortaleza (Brasil). Sami Kanaan (vicealcalde de Ginebra, presidente del GCH, copresidente del Grupo de Trabajo de CGLU sobre prevenci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n territorial de crisis) y Gilles Carbonnier (vicepresidente del CICR) pronunciaron las palabras de apertura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El acto ilustr\u00f3 los distintos tipos de violencia urbana a los que se enfrenta el personal sanitario. Los participantes presentaron las medidas adoptadas con \u00e9xito para prevenir, afrontar o reducir la violencia urbana. Entre ellas, la identificaci\u00f3n de las causas de la violencia, el compromiso de la comunidad, la formaci\u00f3n del personal y el seguimiento de los riesgos de violencia en tiempo real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inclusi\u00f3n, formaci\u00f3n, anticipaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En Chicago, \"<a href=\"https:\/\/chicagocred.org\/street-outreach\">Alcance de la calle<\/a>\"Los trabajadores se comprometen con los (posibles) autores de la violencia para reducir las situaciones de violencia. \u00c9stas pueden producirse en torno a las instalaciones sanitarias o implicar a las personas que acceden a los servicios sanitarios. \"La divulgaci\u00f3n en la calle dio grandes resultados, porque incluimos a las comunidades en el proceso de reducci\u00f3n de la violencia\", dijo Norman Kerr, Director de Reducci\u00f3n de la Violencia de Chicago. En el Hospital Infantil Lurie, la Sra. Barbara Suplit, enfermera pedi\u00e1trica, tambi\u00e9n comparti\u00f3 las medidas adoptadas para garantizar la seguridad f\u00edsica y mental del personal y los pacientes del hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras un estudio exhaustivo sobre las causas, los autores y las v\u00edctimas de la violencia en los centros sanitarios, la Dra. Lubna Baig, del Instituto de Salud P\u00fablica APPNA, Jinnah Sindh, Karachi, puso en marcha un programa de formaci\u00f3n, con el apoyo del CICR. El programa se dise\u00f1\u00f3 para ayudar a los profesionales de la salud a responder a la violencia y el acoso que sufren ellos y los centros de salud. \"Marc\u00f3 la diferencia, porque el personal se sinti\u00f3 capacitado y mejor equipado para hacer frente a la violencia\", dijo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En Fortaleza, las autoridades municipales han colaborado con el CICR en el desarrollo de una innovadora plataforma en l\u00ednea \"Safer Access\". \u00c9sta proporciona informaci\u00f3n en tiempo real al personal sanitario sobre los riesgos de violencia en la ciudad. En funci\u00f3n del contexto de seguridad, se adoptan entonces medidas para adaptar el acceso a las instalaciones sanitarias y las actividades del personal sanitario.
