El acto fue coorganizado por la&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud<\/a>&nbsp;(OMS), Francia, Finlandia e Indonesia, al margen de la 75\u00aa sesi\u00f3n de la&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/ga\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Asamblea General de la ONU<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El objetivo del evento era destacar los importantes beneficios de la preparaci\u00f3n ante las emergencias de salud p\u00fablica, como la pandemia de COVID19. Ante cualquier emergencia similar que se produzca en el futuro, se subray\u00f3 que todos los sectores de la sociedad y todos los niveles de gobierno deb\u00edan aunar esfuerzos y coordinarse para garantizar una preparaci\u00f3n sostenible y eficaz, as\u00ed como unos sistemas sanitarios resistentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n se plante\u00f3 un fuerte apoyo a la OMS como agencia de coordinaci\u00f3n mundial en tiempos de crisis sanitarias, as\u00ed como al multilateralismo y la cooperaci\u00f3n internacional entre Estados. Durante el evento se se\u00f1al\u00f3 a las ciudades como parte del problema, ya que su densidad las convierte en nodos masivos de amplificaci\u00f3n de enfermedades, pero sobre todo como parte de la soluci\u00f3n, dado que proporcionan acceso a la atenci\u00f3n sanitaria, educaci\u00f3n, oportunidades econ\u00f3micas, protecci\u00f3n, etc.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reconociendo la din\u00e1mica \u00fanica de las ciudades en lo que respecta a la propagaci\u00f3n de enfermedades infecciosas, el Sr. Kanaan hizo hincapi\u00e9 en la necesidad de incluir a los gobiernos locales en la preparaci\u00f3n y la respuesta a las emergencias sanitarias, pero tambi\u00e9n para la recuperaci\u00f3n y la resiliencia a dichas crisis. Como responsables de la primera l\u00ednea de respuesta a las emergencias, el Sr. Kanaan record\u00f3 que los gobiernos locales no s\u00f3lo deben disponer de medios para aplicar las pol\u00edticas, sino que tambi\u00e9n deben participar en los debates internacionales que acaban dando forma a las soluciones a los retos mundiales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A este respecto, el Sr. Kanaan se\u00f1al\u00f3 la misi\u00f3n del Centro de Ciudades de Ginebra, que consiste en apoyar el fortalecimiento de los v\u00ednculos entre las ciudades y los debates pol\u00edticos mundiales en la Ginebra internacional. El Centro de Ciudades de Ginebra pretende contribuir a un tipo de multilateralismo m\u00e1s inclusivo para apoyar el enfoque de toda la sociedad, que es tan crucial para abordar eficazmente los retos m\u00e1s acuciantes de la humanidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La OMS y sus Estados miembros seguir\u00e1n examinando de cerca la preparaci\u00f3n para la seguridad sanitaria y la resiliencia.
