La Red Mundial de Ciudades del Aprendizaje (GNLC) de la UNESCO es una red internacional orientada a la formulaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas que proporciona inspiraci\u00f3n y difunde conocimientos y buenas pr\u00e1cticas. Coordinada por el Instituto de la UNESCO para el Aprendizaje a lo Largo de Toda la Vida (IUAL), uno de los ocho institutos y centros educativos de la UNESCO, est\u00e1 activa en m\u00e1s de doscientas ciudades y m\u00e1s de sesenta pa\u00edses, incluyendo un n\u00famero creciente en la regi\u00f3n africana. OBJETIVOS PRINCIPALES<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>

La GNLC promueve el aprendizaje entre ciudades miembros, fomenta las asociaciones y desarrolla la capacidad.<\/p>

La UNESCO define una ciudad del aprendizaje como una ciudad que: moviliza sus recursos en todos los sectores para promover el aprendizaje inclusivo desde la educaci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica hasta la superior; revitaliza el aprendizaje en las familias y las comunidades; facilita el aprendizaje para y en el lugar de trabajo; extiende el uso de las tecnolog\u00edas modernas de aprendizaje; mejora la calidad y la excelencia en el aprendizaje; y fomenta una cultura de aprendizaje a lo largo de toda la vida. Las ciudades que hacen estas cosas mejoran la capacitaci\u00f3n individual y la inclusi\u00f3n social, el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico y la prosperidad cultural, y el desarrollo sostenible.<\/p>

PROYECTOS CLAVE<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>

\u00a0<\/p>

Conferencia Internacional sobre Ciudades del Aprendizaje.<\/strong> Cada dos a\u00f1os, los alcaldes y otros representantes de la GNLC se re\u00fanen para compartir los retos, las soluciones y las mejores pr\u00e1cticas para fomentar el aprendizaje permanente de sus residentes.<\/p>

Prioridades de la ciudad.<\/strong> La red colabora en los temas que sus miembros priorizan, como la educaci\u00f3n para el desarrollo sostenible, la planificaci\u00f3n y evaluaci\u00f3n de la educaci\u00f3n, la educaci\u00f3n para la salud y el bienestar, y la educaci\u00f3n para la ciudadan\u00eda global.<\/p>

Aprendizaje entre iguales.<\/strong> Una gu\u00eda de acci\u00f3n sobre el aprendizaje permanente para la salud en las ciudades. Los miembros de la GNLC, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la C\u00e1tedra UNESCO de Salud Global y Educaci\u00f3n, trabajan para concienciar sobre la contribuci\u00f3n del aprendizaje permanente a la salud, y desarrollar y aplicar juntos pol\u00edticas que hagan que sus ciudades sean saludables y resistentes.<\/p>

Premio UNESCO a la Ciudad del Aprendizaje.<\/strong> El Premio UNESCO a la Ciudad del Aprendizaje reconoce y muestra las buenas pr\u00e1cticas en la promoci\u00f3n de la educaci\u00f3n de calidad y las oportunidades de aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida para todos a nivel local. El premio se otorga en cada una de las cinco regiones de la UNESCO a las ciudades que han demostrado un progreso significativo en la implementaci\u00f3n de proyectos y actividades de aprendizaje para sus ciudadanos.<\/p>
