{"id":19331,"date":"2024-01-17T14:17:25","date_gmt":"2024-01-17T13:17:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/?p=19331"},"modified":"2024-02-02T14:18:35","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T13:18:35","slug":"comments-to-the-revised-draft-for-inc-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalcitieshub.org\/en\/comments-to-the-revised-draft-for-inc-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Comments to the revised draft for INC-4"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Preparations are underway for the 4th session of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unep.org\/inc-plastic-pollution\">Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee<\/a>&nbsp;(INC-4, 23-29 April 2024, Ottawa, Canada) to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wedocs.unep.org\/bitstream\/handle\/20.500.11822\/44526\/RevisedZeroDraftText.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A revised draft<\/a>&nbsp;of the instrument has been released by the UNEP secretariat on 28 December 2023 and the Global Cities Hub is glad to see its suggestions included, thereby taking into consideration the role of local and regional governments (LRGs) in waste and plastic pollution management and other related areas.
